Size Guide
Choosing the right size makes all the difference. Here's our room-by-room guide to help you find your perfect fit. Every LOOM rug is made to order — pick a standard size or go fully custom.
Tip 01
Always measure your space first. Use tape on the floor to visualise the size before ordering.
Tip 02
When in doubt, go bigger. A rug that's too small looks lost — a generous rug always elevates the room.
Tip 03
Leave at least 20-30 cm of floor visible between the rug edge and the wall for a balanced look.
Living Room
Centre the Rug
170 x 240 cm or 200 x 300 cm
Ideal for smaller living rooms. Place the rug in front of your sofa with the front legs on — creates a cosy, pulled-together feel without taking over.
Half-on, Half-off
200 x 300 cm or 250 x 350 cm
The most popular setup. Front legs of all seating on the rug, back legs off. Defines the space and makes everything feel connected.
All Furniture On
250 x 350 cm or 300 x 400 cm
For larger rooms where you want a luxurious, wall-to-wall feel. All furniture legs sit on the rug — generous and grounding.
L-shaped / Corner Sofa
300 x 300 cm or 300 x 400 cm
Corner sofas need space to breathe. Go big enough so the rug extends beyond the sofa on all sides — at least 20 cm of rug showing.
Dining Room
Round / Square Table
250 x 250 cm or 300 x 300 cm
Allow at least 60 cm extra on each side so chairs remain on the rug when pulled out. For a round table seating 4-6, a 250 x 250 cm works perfectly.
Rectangular Table (4-6 seats)
200 x 300 cm or 250 x 350 cm
The rug should extend at least 60 cm beyond the table edge on all sides. This keeps chairs on the rug even when pushed back.
Large Rectangular Table (8+ seats)
300 x 400 cm or 350 x 450 cm
Long dinner parties need room. Go generous — nothing worse than a chair leg catching the edge of a rug mid-meal.
Bedroom
Beside the Bed
140 x 200 cm or 170 x 240 cm
Place the rug alongside your bed so your feet land on something soft every morning. Works great in smaller bedrooms or as a pair on each side.
Under the Bed (2/3)
200 x 300 cm or 250 x 350 cm
Tuck the rug about two-thirds under the bed, letting it extend generously on the sides and foot. The go-to for medium bedrooms.
Full Bedroom
300 x 400 cm or 350 x 450 cm
For large master bedrooms where you want the rug to frame the entire bed and nightstands. Pure luxury underfoot from every angle.
